Dr Lim expressed optimism in the progression of blood cancer treatment options, highlighting an innovative form of cell and gene therapy, which genetically modifies a patient’s T-cells (a form of white blood cells) to fight cancer cells. With medical advancements, he shares that patients diagnosed with the disease today have a higher chance of entering remission or managing the disease for the long-term.
